Maneuvering memory and oblivion, the secrets Eugenya may have left behind and Jacques\u2019 reluctance to thread through them, both Jacques and Eugenya\u2019s willingness to recall comes into question.<br \/>\nEsperia is a four part video series and a work in progress. Through his memories of past in present conversations with his granddaughter, the four parts of Esperia will form the portrait of Jacques Motola &#8211; an artist and somewhat a man of mystery. The four stories explore how memory, the wider historical perspective and personal identity are converged and become intertwined. Jacques has spent his life between North-Africa, Palestine\/Israel and France. H\u00e4nen ty\u00f6ns\u00e4 keskittyy erilaisiin yhteiskuntapoliittisiin kysymyksiin ja dokumentaarisuuteen. Motola on suorittanut MFA-tutkinnon Suomen Kuvataideakatemiassa ja opiskellut aiemmin valokuvausta ja elokuvaa Tel Avivissa. H\u00e4n ty\u00f6skentelee usein yhteisty\u00f6projekteissa ja on kolmen vuoden ajan ollut Activestills-valokuvaajien kollektiivin j\u00e4sen.
