Akvarelleista ja vahavaloksista koostuva n\u00e4yttely upottaa kokijan kev\u00e4ttulvaan, jonka moskaisissa vesiss\u00e4 heijastuvat ilmastonmuutoksen arvaamattomat s\u00e4\u00e4t, tuhottujen metsien muuttuneet virtaukset sek\u00e4 yli \u00e4yr\u00e4iden tulvivat ajatukset.\u00a0

Teoksien tulvat ovat p\u00e4\u00e4nsis\u00e4isi\u00e4 kasaumia ja yht\u00e4kkisi\u00e4 purkauksia, sek\u00e4 uhkaavasti ilmastonmuutoksen takia nousevaa veden pintaa. Ne ovat sek\u00e4 psykologisia kauhun l\u00e4t\u00e4k\u00f6it\u00e4 hallitsemattomien muutosten \u00e4\u00e4rell\u00e4 ett\u00e4 valtoimenaan tulvimaan p\u00e4\u00e4sseit\u00e4 ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6j\u00e4 ja eloa niiss\u00e4. Rinnakkain ep\u00e4varmuuden ja pelon kanssa on nautintoa ja antautumista, vesileikkej\u00e4. Kylpemist\u00e4 onnistuneen suunnan muutoksen sopeutumisen vesiss\u00e4.

Teoksissa tulvahtavat solunesteet, munien ruskuaispussit, juurien ydinmehut. Maatumisen h\u00e4m\u00e4r\u00e4st\u00e4 it\u00e4\u00e4 uusi kev\u00e4t ja elo.

Sirkku Rosi <\/strong>ty\u00f6skentelee ruumiillisten akvarellien, maalauksista laajentuvien veistoksellisten elementtien ja performatiivisen liikkeen parissa. Rosi tutkii praktiikassaan ruumiillisen ja kuvallisen taiteen yhteytt\u00e4 ja eletty\u00e4 kehoa. H\u00e4nt\u00e4 kiinnostaa akvarellin materiaaliset mahdollisuudet, jaettu oleminen ja sen erilaisten ilmentymien jatkuva vuotaminen toisiinsa; teoksissa erilaiset olemiset kasvavat toisistaan. Rosin akvarellien huokoisessa olemisessa hahmot vuotavat visvaa ja mahlaa, kasvit ja karvat kukoistavat.

Rosin teoksia on ollut esill\u00e4 M\u00e4nt\u00e4n kuvataideviikoilla, Tampereen taidemuseossa ja Lappeenrannan Taidemuseossa sek\u00e4 useissa gallerioissa Suomessa sek\u00e4 ulkomailla. Rosi on valmistunut maisteriksi sek\u00e4 Aalto yliopistosta (2015) ett\u00e4 Kuvataideakatemiasta (2024) ja suorittanut tanssipedagogiikan perusopinnot (2018). H\u00e4n ty\u00f6skennellyt mm. HIAPin alumniresidenssiss\u00e4 2024-25 ja Pariisin Cit\u00e9en residenssiss\u00e4 2025. H\u00e4nen teoksiaan kuuluu Nordiska Akvarellmuseetin, Valtion sek\u00e4 Tampereen Taidemuseon kokoelmiin yksityiskokoelmien lis\u00e4ksi.

An exhibition composed of watercolors and wax casts immerses the viewer in a spring flood, in whose murky waters are reflected the unpredictable weather of climate change, the altered flows of destroyed forests, and thoughts overflowing their banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The floods in the works are accumulations within the mind and sudden outbursts, as well as the ominously rising water levels caused by climate change. They are both psychological puddles of horror in the face of uncontrollable change and environments and life within them unleashed to flood freely. Alongside uncertainty and fear, there is also pleasure and surrender\u2014water play. Bathing in the waters of a successfully adapted change of direction, new currents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the works surge cellular fluids, the yolk sacs of eggs, the core saps of roots. From the dimness of decay, a new spring and life begin to sprout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sirkku Rosi <\/strong>creates watercolours from bodily experiences, sculptural elements expanding from paintings and works also in the field of performance art. She is intrigued by the research of flesh, the shared nature of cellular existence, the fragility of paper and our porous skin as a leaky boundary between humans and our environment. In Rosi\u2019s work, sensual bodies lurk, birth and decompose. The twisting curves of intestines are a map to the garden, and organs penetrate through the skin like stones polished through time. Also Her work is a restrained carnival of flesh. She wants to challenge the boundaries of watercolors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosi\u2019s works have been exhibited at the M\u00e4ntt\u00e4 Art Festival, the Tampere Art Museum, Lappeenranta Art Museum and in numerous galleries in Finland and abroad. She holds master\u2019s degrees from both Aalto University (2015) and the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki (2024), and has completed basic studies in dance pedagogy (2018). She has worked in the HIAP alumni residency (2024-25) and at the Cit\u00e9 Internationale des Arts residency in Paris (2025) among other residency programs. Her works are included in the collections of the Nordiska Akvarell Museet, the Finnish State Art Collection, the Tampere Art Museum, Tampere City and Basware collection as well as in private collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
